Fees & Terms
Following your consultation, if you’re happy to continue, we can then set up the first session. We will then set goals and think about how you will know our work is helpful. We will also agree upon the frequency of appointments, such as weekly, fortnightly etc.
Payment of Fees
Each session will take place at the same time and place every week and each session will last between 50 - 75 minutes.
Sessions cost £50.00 - £90 for 1:1 sessions. Advance notice will be given of any increase in fees.
Sessions and Terms of Service
Face to face counselling:
This is payable at the start of each session by cash or in advance by bank transfer.
Remote counselling
Payment should be made 2 working days before session.
Cancellations
Any missed sessions by the client must be paid for unless an alternative slot can be arranged. Re-scheduling or cancellations should be done at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment to the exact time; otherwise full payment becomes liable. You can do this by email, text or call. In the unlikely event that I have to cancel, I will give you as much notice as possible and offer you an alternative appointment.
Confidentiality
All sessions are strictly confidential however, this confidentiality may be broken if the therapist considers the client to be at risk to themselves or to / from others.
Privacy Policy
From 25th May 2018 any information I hold about you will be protected in the following way:
Phone numbers and email addresses will be deleted when you stop using my services. I will never contact you through social media. Any correspondence we may have through texts or emails will be deleted on a monthly basis. Handwritten notes are very brief and identified in code (first name or initial letters) and stored separately from any email details. Both forms of data are locked in separate cabinets to which I am the only person with access. These notes will be destroyed once our counselling sessions has ended or within 2 years. No data is passed onto a third party unless for legal or safeguarding reasons in which case prior consent by you will always be obtained. All records pertaining to payment of my services are similarly protected and only kept in written form. I am obliged legally to hold these details for tax purposes but again these details will be destroyed after the obligatory period of time.
